Another food that my aunties love to make is the Pork Giniling. This is one of my favorite foods because I really like the flavor of this dish so I encourage you to try this one.

Here are the ingredients you need
  • 1 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 1/2 cups potatoes (diced)
  • 1 cup carrots (diced)
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 6 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1 medium-sized onion (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 piece beef or pork cube
  • 4 shelled boiled eggs (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 cup water
To make this dish, you heat the pan and put the oil, when it is hoe enough, saute garlic and onions until the garlic becomes golden brown and the onions becomes soft. Then, put the ground pork, cook it for 5 mins, and add the beef/pork cube, tomato sauce, and water and simmer for 20 mins. After simmering, put carrots and potatoes, then stir for 10 to 12 mins until the ingredients are distributed evenly. Add salt, ground black pepper and sugar, and then stir and put the boiled eggs and turn off the heat. Ta-dah! Your Pork Giniling is ready to be eaten!

Pork Giniling recipe is similar to Menudo. Instead of  pork or beef cut into serving pieces, we use ground meat as a substitute. After all, this dish, for me, is more efficient because you don't need to cut the served pieces of meat, just eat it at once.
